XP Group, a leading international upstream oil and gas operator, proudly marks its 20th anniversary, celebrating two decades of sustainable investment and operational excellence. Since its founding in 2005, the company has invested 250 million dollars to enhance production, modernize facilities, and build a resilient, future-facing approach to managing mature oil and gas assets.
Over the past 20 years, XP Group has expanded its international footprint with projects in Romania, Ukraine, Hungary, Libya, Yemen, Iraq, Jordan, and Turkmenistan. The company has acquired and decommissioned eight concession licenses and secured three major 15-year Production Enhancement Contracts (PECs), solidifying its reputation as a trusted partner to national energy companies and international operators.
“Our 250$ million investment reflects XP Group’s commitment not only to increased production but to responsible, sustainable field management. This milestone is a testament to the dedication of our people, our innovation-driven mindset, and our unwavering focus on reducing environmental impact. As we look to the future, we remain committed to operational excellence, digital transformation, and sustainable growth.”, said David Martinon, CEO and co-founder of XP Group.
XP Group’s operational achievements, based on broad data-driven analysis, AI and reservoir modeling span, resulted in: 31 new wells drilled, more than 4,250 well interventions completed, more than 700 workovers, nearly 50 production facilities modernized or restructured. These efforts have culminated in 21 million barrels of incremental oil and gas production of the fields operated.
XP Group has also emerged as a regional leader in decarbonization through its Upgreen division. The group has achieved a methane emission intensity of 0.20 tCH₄/toe, following the rollout of an aggressive emissions measurement and investment program launched four years ago.
Average environmental performance improvements within five years of field takeover include: 50% reduction in GHG emissions intensity, 30% increase in energy efficiency, 65% reduction in freshwater withdrawal intensity, 60% reduction in spilled volume.
These results demonstrate XP Group’s ability to balance productivity with long-term environmental responsibility.
XP Group continues to drive international growth through digitalization, and customized operational models that extend the productive life of mature fields. With a continued focus on sustainability, innovation, and decarbonization, the company is shaping the future of upstream operations—one field at a time.
